PinClipper (“we,” “us,” “our”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and comparable international copyright frameworks.
1. Our Role
PinClipper is a tool that allows users to retrieve publicly available Pinterest media by submitting a public pin link. We do not host, store, cache, or archive any Pinterest videos, images, or GIFs on our own servers. All media is delivered directly from Pinterest’s public content delivery network (CDN) at the time of a user’s request.
Because we do not store third-party content, our involvement is limited to providing the technical tool. However, we take copyright concerns seriously and will act on valid notices as described below.
2. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you are a copyright owner, or authorized to act on behalf of one, and believe that content accessible through PinClipper infringes your copyright, please submit a written notice to us containing the following information:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- Identification of the specific material you believe is infringing, including the exact pin URL or page location where it was accessed through our Service.
- Your contact information, including your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
Please send your notice to: [Pinclipper@gmail.com]
3. Our Response Process
Upon receiving a valid and complete notice, we will:
- Review the request to confirm it meets the requirements outlined above;
- Where applicable, disable or restrict access to the reported functionality or link within our tool;
- Notify the user who submitted the reported link where appropriate;
- Maintain a record of the complaint for our internal reference.
Since PinClipper does not store the underlying media, our primary remedy is to restrict our tool’s ability to process the reported link. We may also direct rights holders to file a complaint directly with Pinterest, Inc., as the platform hosting the original content.
4. Counter-Notification
If you believe content was restricted in error or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was restricted and its location prior to restriction.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was restricted as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the relevant federal court in your district.
5. Repeat Infringers
We reserve the right, in appropriate circumstances, to restrict or terminate access to our Service for users who repeatedly submit links associated with valid infringement claims.
6. No Storage, Limited Liability
As stated in our Terms of Service, PinClipper does not host or store any Pinterest media. All content delivered through our tool originates directly from Pinterest’s servers. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or copyright status of material made publicly available on Pinterest by third parties.
